DalVideo
What is DalVideo?
DalVideo is an AI-powered screen recording tool for Windows. It records your screen and generates captions automatically using local AI (Whisper). All processing happens on your machine — no cloud, no subscription.
What's the difference between Free and Pro?
The only difference is recording time: Free is limited to 10 minutes per session, Pro is unlimited. Both versions include all features, codecs, resolutions, and AI capabilities. No watermarks, no ads, no feature gates.
Does AI captioning require internet?
No. DalVideo uses OpenAI Whisper running locally on your machine. The AI model is downloaded once (~1.5 GB) on first use, then works completely offline.
What output formats does DalVideo support?
DalVideo supports MP4 and MKV containers with H.264, H.265, and AV1 codecs. You can choose your preferred format and codec in the settings.
What are the system requirements?
DalVideo requires Windows 10 or later (64-bit) and .NET 10 runtime. For hardware-accelerated encoding, a compatible NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel GPU is recommended but not required.
How do I activate a Pro license?
After purchasing, you will receive a Transaction ID via email. Open DalVideo, go to Settings, enter the Transaction ID, and click Activate. The license is tied to your machine and verified online.
Can I use keyboard shortcuts to control recording?
Yes. DalVideo supports global hotkeys for starting, stopping, and pausing recording. These work even when the app is minimized. You can customize the shortcuts in Settings.
Can I record system audio and microphone simultaneously?
Yes. DalVideo can capture system audio, microphone input, or both at the same time. Each source has independent volume controls.
How do I update DalVideo?
DalVideo checks for updates automatically. When a new version is available, you will see a notification in the About window. Click Update to download and install the latest version.
DalCut
What is DalCut?
DalCut is a lossless video trimming and merging tool. It cuts videos without re-encoding, preserving original quality. Features include AI scene detection and batch processing.
What does "lossless" mean?
Lossless means the output file has the exact same quality as the input. DalCut doesn't re-encode your video — it simply removes the parts you don't want, keeping the original codec, resolution, and bitrate intact.
What's the difference between Free and Pro?
The only difference is output duration: Free is limited to 10 minutes, Pro is unlimited. Both versions include all features — lossless cutting, AI scene detection, batch processing, and all formats. No watermarks.
What video formats are supported?
DalCut supports MP4 and MKV containers with H.264, H.265, and AV1 codecs. Since cutting is lossless, the output preserves the original codec.
How does AI scene detection work?
DalCut analyzes your video to detect visual scene transitions. Once detected, scene boundaries appear on the timeline so you can split at the right moments with one click.
Can I process multiple files at once?
Yes. DalCut supports batch processing. You can add multiple files, set trim points for each, and export them all at once.
How do I activate a Pro license?
After purchasing, you will receive a Transaction ID via email. Open DalCut, go to Settings, enter the Transaction ID, and click Activate. The license is tied to your machine and verified online.
Can I merge multiple videos into one?
Yes. DalCut can merge multiple video files into a single file without re-encoding, as long as they share the same codec and settings. Original quality is preserved.
dalgif
What is DalGIF?
DalGIF is a video-to-GIF converter that also supports WebP and APNG. It includes screen capture, smart frame selection, and SNS presets. All processing happens locally on your machine.
What's the difference between Free and Pro?
The only difference is output duration: Free is limited to 10 minutes, Pro is unlimited. Both versions include all features — GIF/WebP/APNG conversion, screen capture, smart frame selection, and SNS presets. No watermarks.
What output formats are supported?
DalGIF supports GIF, animated WebP, and APNG. Each format has different strengths: GIF for universal compatibility, WebP for smaller file sizes, and APNG for higher color depth.
Can I record my screen directly to GIF?
Yes. DalGIF includes built-in screen capture with region selection and full-screen modes. Record your screen and convert directly to GIF, WebP, or APNG without an intermediate video file.
How does smart frame selection work?
DalGIF analyzes frames for blur and similarity using Laplacian Variance and perceptual hashing. Blurry frames are removed, duplicate frames are deduplicated, and the sharpest frames are prioritized. This produces higher-quality GIFs with smaller file sizes.
What are SNS presets?
SNS presets automatically optimize your output for platform file size limits: Twitter (15 MB), Discord (8 MB / 50 MB Nitro), Slack (20 MB), and GitHub (10 MB). One click to fit within the limit.
How do I activate a Pro license?
After purchasing, you will receive a Transaction ID via email. Open DalGIF, go to Settings, enter the Transaction ID, and click Activate. The license is tied to your machine and verified online.
dalconvert
What is DalConvert?
DalConvert is a video format converter with AI quality optimization. Convert between 10+ formats with batch processing and hardware acceleration. All processing happens locally on your machine.
What's the difference between Free and Pro?
The only difference is output duration: Free is limited to 10 minutes, Pro is unlimited. Both versions include all features — format conversion, AI optimization, batch processing, and all codecs. No watermarks.
How does AI quality optimization work?
DalConvert analyzes motion levels across your video segments and recommends optimal CRF values for each. Static scenes get higher compression while fast-motion scenes preserve detail, resulting in better quality at smaller file sizes.
What video formats are supported?
DalConvert supports MP4, MKV, AVI, MOV, WebM, WMV, FLV, TS, M4V, and 3GP formats with H.264, H.265, and AV1 codecs.
Can I convert multiple files at once?
Yes. DalConvert supports batch conversion. Add multiple files via drag and drop, set your conversion options, and convert them all at once with per-file progress tracking.
Does DalConvert use GPU acceleration?
Yes. DalConvert automatically detects your GPU and uses hardware encoding when available (NVIDIA NVENC, AMD AMF, Intel QuickSync). If no compatible GPU is found, it falls back to software encoding.
How do I activate a Pro license?
After purchasing, you will receive a Transaction ID via email. Open DalConvert, go to About, enter the Transaction ID, and click Activate. The license is tied to your machine and verified online.
