DalCut v1.1.0 — Export Presets & Tabbed Settings
DalCut v1.1.0 adds 5 export presets, a tabbed settings panel, frame-by-frame navigation, and device-based licensing for lossless video trimming.
DalCut is now publicly available — a free, lossless video trimmer for Windows that lets you cut and merge videos without re-encoding.
Version 1.1.0 introduces several improvements designed to make the editing workflow faster and more intuitive.
Export Presets — One Click, Right Settings
Choosing between lossless remux and re-encoding used to require understanding codecs and quality levels. Now, DalCut offers 5 built-in export presets that set everything for you:

Select a preset, and the codec, quality, and bitrate are configured automatically. You can still adjust individual settings after selecting a preset — the preset is a starting point, not a lock.
Tabbed Settings Panel
The settings window has been redesigned from a flat list into a 4-tab layout:
- General — Language, output folder, keyframe snap mode
- Export — Default codec, quality preset, codec recommendation guide
- AI — Scene detection sensitivity, silence detection threshold
- Shortcuts — Full keyboard shortcut reference
Each tab includes contextual descriptions. The Export tab features a codec guide explaining when to use H.264 vs H.265 vs AV1.
Frame-by-Frame Navigation
Precise trimming now has proper tools:
- ← → arrow keys step one frame backward/forward
- ◀ ▶ buttons next to play controls for mouse users
- Media info display shows resolution, FPS, and codec in the preview area
Combined with keyframe snap mode (toggle in settings), you can position trim points with frame-level accuracy.
Enhanced Status Bar
The status bar now shows three pieces of information simultaneously:
- Left — File name and size
- Center — Current operation status
- Right — Current position / total duration (updates as you navigate)
Device Limitation System
DalCut Pro licenses now include device-based activation tracking. If you exceed your device limit, the app shows a clear message explaining how many slots are in use and how to free one.
