DalGIF v1.1.0 introduces 4 quality presets, tabbed settings, capture region presets, and device-based licensing for video-to-GIF conversion.

Quality Presets — Get the Right Balance Instantly
GIF quality involves trade-offs between color count, dithering, resolution, and frame rate. Instead of tuning each setting manually, 4 quality presets let you choose with one click:

Quality presets work alongside the existing 9 SNS platform presets (Twitter, Discord, Slack, GitHub, Reddit, Telegram, KakaoTalk, Tumblr, Discord Nitro), which automatically optimize for each platform’s file size limit.
After selecting a preset, you can still adjust individual settings — the preset fills in sensible defaults without locking you in.
Tabbed Settings Panel
The settings window has been redesigned into a 4-tab layout:
- General — Language, output folder
- Convert — Default format (GIF/WebP/APNG), FPS, resolution, quality
- Capture — Capture FPS, format, default region size presets (480×270, 640×360, 800×450)
- AI — Smart frame selection toggle, blur detection threshold
The Capture tab includes a hotkey reference panel:
- F9 — Start / Stop recording
- F10 — Pause / Resume
- Esc — Cancel region selection
Smart Frame Selection (AI)
DalGIF’s AI module analyzes each frame to reduce file size without visible quality loss:
- Blur Detection — Frames with low sharpness (Laplacian variance) are identified and removed
- Duplicate Removal — Near-identical consecutive frames are detected via perceptual hashing and merged
This typically reduces frame count by 20% or more, resulting in significantly smaller GIFs.
The blur threshold is now configurable in the AI settings tab.

DalGIF supports all three major animated image formats:
